On 22 April 2026, Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Ardasher Qodiri, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Thailand with residence in Kuala Lumpur, during his visit to attend the 82nd session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in Thailand.
Both sides discussed ways to enhance Thailand - Tajikistan relations, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, tourism and academic cooperation, as well as preparation for the joint activities to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2027. Both sides also exchanged views on regional issues and the promotion of multilateral cooperation.
