Ravi de Silva, CEO of the US-based company de Risk Partners, is establishing a global compliance consultancy in Lucerne. In an interview, he described the location of the recently founded de Risk Partners Suisse as a launch pad for scaling financial sector services globally.
Ravi de Silva, CEO of de Risk Partners, based his choice of Switzerland as the global "nerve center" of his US-based company on the wealth of advantages he believes the country has to offer. As he explained in an interview with the North American business news portal Pulse 2.0, Switzerland, "with its mix of technological innovation, regulatory transparency, and 'light touch' bureaucracy, offers the perfect base for our next stage of growth and global reach".
For the company based in Westport in Connecticut, de Silva said that "Lucerne is not just a base… it's a launchpad for scaling compliance services across the world" for the financial industry. Lucerne is set to become the global "command center" and "hub for global transformation", added the CEO. "We have a growing footprint with offices in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Asia - and we're just getting started. At the center of it all? Our Swiss office, serving as the 'nerve center' driving global innovation and client service."
A increasing wave of global tech giants including Microsoft, Google, and TikTok, have chosen Switzerland, pointed out de Silva. "Why?" he said. "Because they saw what we see: an unbeatable mix of a highly-skilled workforce, stable and transparent regulation, and infrastructure that sets the global standard."
The CEO said his company had received "an incredible amount of support" from Lucerne Business North America, part of Lucerne Economic Development, as well as the Swiss Business Hub USA, an arm of Switzerland Global Enterprise. These teams were "unbelievable in making the transition a smooth process, which made the decision to go to Switzerland easy, and the choice of Lucerne, even easier", said de Ravi.
