Congressman Riley M. Moore Celebrates National Park Foundation Grant for C&O Canal National Historical Park

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Riley M. Moore celebrates the National Park Foundation's announcement of $12 million in grants supporting 30 innovative programs across 40 national parks, including the C&O Canal National Historical Park.

Congressman Riley M. Moore released the following statement:

"The National Park Foundation's grant to support the C&O Canal National Historic Park is great news for West Virginia and will help preserve the C&O Canal for historic and recreational purposes for future generations. The C&O Canal is an important part of our region's heritage, and I'm glad to see investments that will help protect our parks, improve public safety, and enhance the experience for visitors."

The grants will help national parks and their partners test new technologies and innovative approaches to managing natural, cultural, and historic resources, strengthening public safety, and improving visitor education and interpretation.
