Nominations Open for the 2025 Wayne Templeton Volunteer of the Year Award

The City of Simi Valley's Council On Aging (COA) is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Wayne Templeton Volunteer of the Year Award. This award recognizes an outstanding volunteer who has made a meaningful impact at the Simi Valley Senior Center over the past year.

Nominations are now being accepted through November 14, 2025. Nominees may be of any age, but only Simi Valley residents age 60 or older may submit nominations. The Selection Committee will consider both the time contributed and the impact of the volunteer's service. The recipient will be recognized at the January 12, 2026, Council On Aging monthly meeting.

"The Council On Aging plays an essential role in supporting and advocating for older adults in our community," said Bill Oliver, COA Chair. "We encourage residents to nominate a deserving volunteer who has made a difference at the Senior Center."

For more details on nominating a deserving volunteer, contact the Simi Valley Senior Center at (805) 583-6363 or visit https://http://www.simivalley.org/COA.
