Iowa Becomes Second State to Adopt IPMLC

APMA congratulates the Iowa Podiatric Medical Society (IPMS) on the enactment of HF 2498, legislation adopting the Interstate Podiatric Medical Licensure Compact (IPMLC) in the state. Governor Kim Reynolds recently signed the bill into law, making Iowa the second state to join the compact. The IPMLC provides a voluntary, expedited pathway to licensure for qualified podiatric physicians seeking to practice in multiple states. By streamlining the licensure process, the compact is intended to support workforce mobility and improve patient access to foot and ankle care. APMA is grateful for the leadership and advocacy of IPMS and the Federation of Podiatric Medical Boards (FPMB), whose partnership and commitment were instrumental in advancing this legislation.
