Raptor Group Vacancy: Senior Accountant (Boston Office)

This role is for a member of the Accounting and Finance team in our Boston office and offers broad exposure across both a single-family office and private equity platform.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and interested in building a well-rounded skill set in a lean, high-impact environment with direct visibility to senior leadership and investment activity.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Family Office

  • Support end-to-end investment execution and tracking, including pipeline monitoring, liquidity planning, wire initiation, and subsequent investment accounting and monitoring.
  • Assist with maintaining the founder's personal financial records, including monthly close balance sheets and income statements.
  • Record all personal and investment-related journal entries in Asset Vantage.
  • Assist in preparing monthly reporting packages, including reconciliations, valuation updates, and investment documentation.
  • Prepare the annual summary package for the CFO.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for the founder's annual tax return and quarterly estimated tax payments.
  • Prepare annual personal financial statements for lenders, creditors, and other external parties as needed.
  • Prepare the quarterly illiquid holdings report for the founder.
  • Support ad hoc requests / projects.

Private Equity Platform

  • Review the fund administrator's quarterly reporting package.
    Partner with investment team members to address reporting and performance-related inquiries.
  • Prepare internal quarterly review materials, including partner allocations and performance tracking.
  • Maintain investment valuation support files and assist in valuation processes.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing capital calls, distributions, and quarterly investor reports.
  • Support coordination with external auditors and tax advisors to support interim and year-end processes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Professional Background: A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, private equity, or a family office environment.
  • Education: CPA designation or active pursuit of licensure preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced analytical skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
