WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) announced that Shane Higgins, general manager at Brit's Pub in Minneapolis, will be her guest at King Charles III's address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
"King Charles III's address to Congress highlights the critical and lasting alliance between the United States and the United Kingdom, and I'm excited to have Shane Higgins of Brit's Pub as my guest," said Klobuchar. "Brit's Pub has been a little piece of the UK in Minneapolis for over 30 years, and a significant part of that legacy is due to Shane and team's commitment to carrying forward a great pub that so many people know and love."
"At Brit's, we've always tried to bring a bit of British spirit to Minneapolis, and it's incredible to see that connection celebrated on such a historic stage," said Higgins.
Brit's Pub opened in 1990 as a small tavern and has since become a famous Minneapolis bar known for its British atmosphere and 10,000 square foot Lawn Bowling green. It has grown into a multi-level pub and is a popular gathering spot for Premier League, international football, and rugby fans.
