CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-24 [15.056-15.56] from Crossville city limits to Seventh-Day Adventist Church and School bridge replacement: The contractor has closed SR-24 at LM 15.06 to LM 15.6. This closure will remain in place for the duration of the project. The posted detour is along SR-462 and SR-1. The contractor will be working on general clearing activities and utility work initially. Once initial work is completed, the contractor will proceed with the replacement of the bridge over the Obed River. Motorists should use caution and utilize the posted detour. CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-28 (US-127) bridge construction and paving from north of I-40 (LM 17.8) to near Potato Farm Road (LM 22.7): The contractor continues grading activities throughout the project limits. The contractor has shifted traffic from near I-40 to near Tabor Loop. The contractor has closed Lawson Road with a detour posted to utilize Tabor Road. CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-28 [12.61-14.96] from near SR-392 to near US-70 resurfacing: The contractor has started resurfacing activities on SR-28 (Main Street) from SR-392 (Miller Ave.) to near SR-24 (Elmore Rd.). The typical work schedule will be nightly from Sunday night through Saturday morning from 7 PM to 6 AM. Temporary lane closures and flaggers are to be utilized within the construction zone. CUMBERLAND AND FENTRESS COUNTY SR-28 (US-127) widening from near N. Lowe Rd (LM 29.2) to north of SR-62 (LM 1.9): Traffic has been shifted to the new alignment from US-127 (SR-28) LM 29.2 in Cumberland County near N. Lowe Rd. to LM 1.87 in Fentress County near Little Rd. Traffic will be restricted to two lanes. Flaggers are being used intermittently as needed to control traffic through the work zone. MARION COUNTY I-24 [17.61-21.76] resurfacing from near SR-27 (US-72) to east of SR-28: The contractor will be resurfacing on I-24 in both directions from MM 152.2 to MM 156. The work will be performed Sunday nights through Thursday nights from 7 PM - 6 AM. Single lane closures will be set up, leaving one lane open to traffic during work hours.
