Montgomery's Riverfront Park Splash Pad Reopens May 23

The City of Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department will reopen the Riverfront Park Splash Pad at 355 Coosa St. on May 23, 2026, after extensive repairs. The splash pad will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., just in time for Memorial Day weekend.

The facility features interactive water elements for children and families. To help keep everyone safe, visitors should follow these rules:

  • No lifeguard on duty-children must be supervised by an adult.
  • Use the splash pad respectfully and safely.
  • No food, drinks, glass containers, or pets on the splash pad.
  • Infants must wear swim diapers.
  • No rough play.
  • Leave the area if thunder or lightning is present.
  • The splash pad may close for weather, maintenance, or operational needs.
  • Water is chlorinated and filtered.
  • Maximum capacity is 45 people.
  • Call 911 in an emergency.
