Dentons Prevails at the Iowa Court of Appeals

Dentons Davis Brown shareholders Spencer Willems and Sarah Franklin secured a win for Des Moines Water Works (DMWW) before the Iowa Court of Appeals. The Court affirmed an earlier win at summary judgment for DMWW on discrimination claims brought under the Iowa Civil Rights Act.
The case arose from a promotion decision made under DMWW's anti-nepotism policy. The Court of Appeals affirmed the district court's grant of summary judgment, which dismissed the discrimination and retaliation claims.
