IFC Wins Deal of the Year at IFLR Americas Awards 2026
The International Finance Corporation's (IFC) inaugural Emerging Markets Loan Securitization was named Deal of the Year - Structured Finance & Securitization at the 2026 IFLR Americas Awards. Orrick partners Mike Gonzalez and Gregg Jubin advised Goldman Sachs, which served as placement agent on the transaction, prior to joining the firm.
The transaction marked the launch of IFC's Emerging Markets Securitization Program (EMSP), an innovative program designed to expand institutional investment in emerging-market assets. The collateralized loan obligation (CLO) structure provides a standardized and scalable channel for investors seeking emerging market exposure aligned with their risk-return appetite.
Mike and Gregg led the team advising Goldman Sachs on the inaugural transaction and have since advised on a similar follow-on transaction, representing another step forward for institutional engagement in emerging markets.
