On November 7, in Yerevan, political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Croatia were held. Delegations were headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, Vahan Kostanyan and State Secretary for Europe of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Andreja Metelko-Zgombić.
During the consultations, the parties touched upon the positive dynamics of bilateral relations in recent years, and high-level contacts, underlining their importance in promoting political dialogue and expanding economic cooperation.
The parties discussed the possibilities for deepening and developing cooperation in areas of mutual interest, in particular, energy, innovative technologies, healthcare, agriculture, tourism, and other areas, as well as the importance of expanding the legal framework.
The interlocutors also touched upon the steps being taken to deepen the Armenia-EU partnership, as well as the preparatory works for the 8th Summit of the European Political Community to be held in Armenia in 2026. The importance of studying and exchanging the experience of European integration was also emphasized.
Views were exchanged on a number of regional and international issues on the agenda. Reference was made to the agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8, as well as to the process of normalization of Armenia-Türkiye relations.
