Border Bank Announces Promotion of Nicole Hjelden to Mortgage Banker in Fargo

Border Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Nicole Hjelden to Mortgage Banker, serving customers from the bank's Fargo location. Hjelden previously served as a Mortgage Loan Associate and brings 18 years of banking experience to her expanded role.

Throughout her career, Hjelden has built a reputation for her hands on, customer first approach. In her previous role, she supported a wide range of in house mortgage products-including construction loans, land loans, bridge loans, and home equity loans. In her new position, she will continue to offer these services while also originating and managing purchase and refinance mortgage loans from start to finish.

"Nicole has a remarkable ability to guide customers through some of the most important financial decisions of their lives," said Jordan Cook, Market President. "Her depth of experience, commitment to clear communication, and genuine care for people make her an invaluable member of our Fargo team. We're excited to see her continue to grow and serve our customers in this expanded role."

Hjelden says her favorite part of the job is helping customers navigate unique situations and finding the best solution for their needs.

"Every customer's story is different," Hjelden shared. "I enjoy getting to know people, understanding their goals, and helping them feel confident throughout the mortgage process. These are big moments in someone's life - it's important every customer feels supported and informed every step of the way."

Border Bank was established in 1935 and has two branches in Fargo, and nine branches throughout Minnesota, including Coon Rapids, Greenbush, Thief River Falls, Middle River, Badger, Roseau, Baudette, International Falls, and Clearbrook.
