Annual CommUNITY Rainbow Run Ahead of 10-Year Pulse Remembrance

Last updated on June 06, 2026

WHAT:
The 10th annual CommUNITY Rainbow Run, presented by Orlando Health and hosted by the City of Orlando in partnership with Track Shack, will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026. More than just a race, the event recognizes the Orlando community's resilience and unwavering love in the wake of the Pulse tragedy.

The run will start and finish at Orlando City Hall Plaza taking participants south on Orange Avenue, passing the Orlando Health campus before continuing south to the Pulse site. The route then leads runners east on Esther Street to Delaney Avenue. From there, they will head north on Delaney Avenue to Lucerne Circle, where they will return to Orange Avenue, completing the 4.9k event at the finish line at City Hall Plaza for the after-event festival. While the path has evolved since the inaugural event, this year's route honors the residents and neighbors who helped to lift our community up after the Pulse tragedy. View a map of the route.

The CommUNITY Rainbow Run was established by graduate students at the University of Central Florida at the one-year mark of the Pulse tragedy. Created to support healing and unity, the event brings people together through running, walking and shared remembrance, recognizing the positive impact that community connection can have during difficult times. Since its inception, thousands of residents have participated and it has become a meaningful event for victims' families, survivors, first responders and the broader Orlando community.

Net proceeds from the event will go toward the construction of the Pulse Memorial. For more information, visit pulseorlando.org/rainbowrun.
