Fittingly, flowers are a frequent motif for the UCLA Latinx Success Center. Representing beauty in community and the intertwining of strong roots, they are a vibrant metaphor for the way the center seeks to draw together and empower all Bruins who seek its resources.
Celebrating its first year and diving into its second, the center has served more than 6,200 students thus far, offering a supportive hub conducive to building strong connections between friends and even mentors. Ensuring that students can use its services to explore their interests and learn more about themselves and the UCLA community is key, leaders say.
"From the start, the Latinx Success Center has reflected the power of student voices - it exists because students asked for it," said Adriana Galván, dean and vice provost of undergraduate education. "Congratulations on one year of the UCLA Latinx Success Center and here's to many more."
