Dear Marquette Business community,
This season always brings a renewed sense of purpose. While February can be grey and cold, our spring semester already feels alive with possibility. The campus energy shifts when our students return, and with them comes a new wave of curiosity, hope and determination.
Every day, I'm fortunate to witness that energy in action. Our students lean into their learning with enthusiasm and courage, guided by expert faculty and staff. That commitment to excellence - rooted in Jesuit values - sets Marquette Business apart.
Our Insurance Leadership Program, led by Director Jae Junkunc, is a great example. Jae and her team are redefining what's possible in insurance education, preparing students for industry certifications like the CFP and CPCU and equipping them to step confidently into a growing, opportunity-rich field.
We also see this spirit in students who embrace hands-on learning opportunities. Recently, three of our student-athletes completed internships with Milwaukee-based fintech leader Fiserv. One of them, lacrosse player Sayla Lotysz, uncovered tens of thousands of dollars in unbilled revenue - a perfect example of Marquette excellence at work.
And our alumni continue to lead with purpose long after graduation. Chris Morrissey, Bus Ad '83, now serves as Senior Director of Communications at Microsoft, shaping strategy for a 1.5 billion-device ecosystem. Just as importantly, he was recently named chair of the board for North Helpline, one of Seattle's largest nonprofits serving neighbors in need. His path reflects exactly the kind of leadership we strive to cultivate: successful in business, dedicated to service.
From innovative academic programs and powerful experiential learning to impactful alumni leadership, Marquette Business continues to grow in meaningful ways. The foundation our students build here supports them throughout life - and you can always recognize a Marquette graduate by the lasting difference they make wherever they go.
Thank you for being part of this community, for your unwavering support and for helping us continue to develop leaders who make an impact.
Sincerely,
Andrew DeGuire
Keyes Dean of Business Administration
