Mail Thieves Arrested in North Side Apartment Mail Room

Chicago, IL - A joint operation by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and Chicago Police Department led to the arrests on April 6, 2026, of Jasmine Larkin, 38, and Eddie Boykin, 45. The arrests were made near the 1100 block of W. Winona Street, Chicago, IL, following a tip from a postal customer. Larkin and Boykin were identified as the suspects responsible for forcing open the service door of an apartment complex where, once inside, they stole mail and packages. At the time of the arrest, the duo was found in possession of the tools used to burglarize the boxes in the apartment complex's mail room and multiple bags containing stolen mail.

Larkin and Boykin were charged by the Cook County State's Attorney's Office with one felony count each of burglary. Additional charges are possible as the investigation continues. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service appreciates the assistance of the Chicago Police Department, specifically the 20th District, as well as its ongoing partnership with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office.
