Washington, D.C. - Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden, D-Ore., today issued the following statement on a new fact sheet released by the White House about Donald Trump's health care agenda.

"Time and again, Donald Trump has made empty promises to the American people about lowering their health care costs, and today's announcement is no different," Wyden said. "Instead of cracking down on Big Pharma and Big Insurance, Trump and Republicans caused premiums to skyrocket, slashed payments to hospitals and communities around the country, and signed off on sweetheart deals with health industry CEOs.

"The Republican health care agenda is all about making your health care cost more and letting giant corporations decide if and when you get health care. Democrats will keep fighting to make health care a basic human right that every American can afford.
