Loma Linda University Children's Hospital (LLUCH) hosted its 41st annual Children's Day on Wednesday, May 13, giving children the opportunity to explore the hospital environment in a fun, welcoming, and interactive setting.
Thanks to presenting sponsor Farmer Boys, nearly 1,200 children ages 3 to 8, and their caregivers attended the free, family-friendly health fair. Designed to ease children's fear of hospitals, the event featured hands-on stations where children could interact with medical equipment and participate in role-playing activities.
Popular stations included the teddy bear clinic, where participants brought their stuffed animals and dolls for a checkup, the venomous animals station that featured a live snake, and the Farmer Boys' petting zoo that featured a llama, donkey, pig, and other farm animals.
Adults and children alike enjoyed the event, appreciating the opportunity to learn about healthcare in a welcoming and engaging environment.
