During Police Week, ICE Arrests Murderers, Pedophiles, Sex Traffickers, and Other Violent Assailants

This Police Week and every day, DHS honors the men and women of law enforcement protecting American communities

WASHINGTON - Yesterday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested more criminal illegal aliens convicted for horrific crimes including pre-meditated murder, lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old, sex trafficking, attempted second-degree forcible rape, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

"Yesterday, the men and women of ICE risked their lives to arrest criminal illegal aliens convicted for murder, lewd acts with children, sex trafficking, attempted rape, and assault," said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. "We honor these brave men and women during Police Week. They are mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, friends and partners, who are willing to lay down their lives to protect our nation."

Yesterday's arrests include:

Hector Hechavarria-Rivaflecha, a criminal illegal alien from Cuba, convicted for premeditated murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and felony assault or battery on persons 65 years or older in Miami, Florida.

Santiago De Jesus Diaz-Gomez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, convicted for lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 in Riverside, California.

Orlando Ramirez-De La Cruz, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, convicted for sex trafficking in Queens, New York.

Nicolas Ramirez-Garcia, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, convicted for attempted second-degree forcible rape in Beaufort County, North Carolina.

Erick Alban Sordo-Arteaga, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, convicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Harris County, Texas.
