Traffic advisory for the George Washington Patriot Run

WASHINGTON - On Sunday, September 13, the George Washington Patriot Run will take place on a five-mile stretch of the George Washington Memorial Parkway (GWMP). In conjunction with this event, there will be street closures that motorists should take into consideration.

The following roads along the GWMP will be closed from approximately 6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.:

  • Northbound and Southbound lanes on the GWMP between Mount Vernon Circle and West Boulevard

Access to the GWMP will be closed at the following intersections:

  • Mount Vernon Memorial Highway

*Access to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Lucia Lane from Vernon View Drive will be permitted for church attendees.
