Pedestrian Dies Following Crash in Lents Neighborhood

A pedestrian has died following a crash in the Lents Neighborhood.

On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at approximately 11:30 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to reports of a crash in the 5500 block of Southeast 92nd Avenue. When they arrived, officers found a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Officers found no signs of impairment. At this time, no citations or charges are pending.
On Thursday, June 4, 2026, the pedestrian, identified as Ronnie J. Jessie, 71, of Clackamas, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. Jessie's family has been notified of his death.
Anyone with information about this crash, who has not talked with police, is asked to submit a tip. The case number is 26-161670.
