Kevin Hayes Named Regional Vice President & General Manager of Pittsburgh and Dayton

ATLANTA / PITTSBURGH / DAYTON (April 13, 2026) -- Cox Media Group (CMG) today named Kevin Hayes as Regional Vice President and General Manager for CMG's Pittsburgh and Dayton television stations, effective immediately. In this expanded role, Hayes will continue to serve as Vice President and General Manager of WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh while also providing strategic oversight and leadership support for WHIO-TV in Dayton, the nation's perennial #1 CBS affiliate. Hayes will split his time between the two markets. Hayes' expanded responsibilities reflect strong performance at WPXI-TV. Pittsburgh's NBC affiliate has delivered consistent results by increasing its audience reach, strengthening its leadership depth, and deepening its connection to the Pittsburgh community while navigating an evolving media landscape. Hayes' role in Dayton will focus on supporting near- and long-term growth and operational excellence while maintaining the station's strong local identity and culture of service and winning. He will work closely with the WHIO-TV leadership team to ensure continuity for audiences, advertisers, and community partners.
