Pop-Rock Sisters Aly & AJ To Make Great New York State Fair Debut

Don't walk. "Rush" to Chevy Court on Monday, August 31, at 6 p.m. to catch American pop rock duo Aly & AJ as they make their Great New York State Fair return for the first time in 20 years.

Best known for their evolution from teen pop sensations to critically acclaimed indie-pop artists, sisters Aly & AJ first rose to fame through their work with Disney, starring in the Disney Channel Original Movie Cow Belles and contributing to beloved projects like Ice Princess and The Cheetah Girls 2. The duo built a devoted fanbase with early hits like "Potential Breakup Song," which was a top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. With a career spanning nearly two decades, Aly & AJ have continually redefined their sound while staying true to their roots in melody-driven pop rock. From their early success on the charts to their recent critically praised releases and sold-out tours, the duo has earned recognition for their artistic growth, independence, and enduring appeal across generations of fans.

In 2025, Aly & AJ continued their evolution with the release of their sixth studio album Silver Deliverer and its companion EP More Silver, recorded with producer Jonathan Wilson in Topanga Canyon. These projects mark a new creative peak for the sisters, blending Laurel Canyon-inspired rock with deeply personal storytelling.

"We're thrilled to welcome Aly & AJ back to The Fair," said Fair Director Julie LaFave. "Their energy, talent, and connection with fans make them a perfect addition to this year's entertainment lineup, and we know fairgoers are going to love every minute of this show."

The Fair starts Wednesday, August 26, and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 7. All concerts are included in the price of admission, which will go on sale later this summer. The Great New York State Fair is the most affordable state fair in the country. Tickets are $8 for adults while admission is free for children under 12 and senior citizens aged 65 and older.

In total, The Fair's 2026 Chevrolet Music Series will feature 41 national recording acts. There will be a daily 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. concert at Chevy Court (located near Gate 1), and an 8 p.m. concert each evening at Suburban Park (located on the western end of the Fairgrounds, beyond the Midway). The Fair will also host two special shows at 9 p.m. on Friday, August 28 and September 4 at Chevy Court.
