HACU accepting applications for Voces Nuevas Program for undergraduate students

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has announced applications are being accepted for the HACU Voces Nuevas Program, a competitive eight-month program where 75 students from HACU-member institutions across the U.S. and Puerto Rico receive leadership, advocacy and career development training.

The program provides students with the opportunity to develop leadership and advocacy skills while serving as HACU ambassadors promoting the Association's programs.

Selected participants of the Voces Nuevas Program will have the opportunity to apply for sponsorship to attend the ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute, the Student Track of HACU's 40th Annual Conference taking place on Oct. 31- Nov. 2, 2026, at the Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center in Chula Vista, California. (Includes conference registration, three conference breakfast and lunches. Travel and lodging are also included for non-local students only.)

In addition, Participants may apply for sponsorship to HACU's 32nd Annual National Capitol Forum on Higher Education taking place on April 6-7, 2027, at the JW Marriott Washington DC.

Eligibility:

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program and must be enrolled at a HACU-member college or university in the fall 2026.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be willing to be sponsored by a corporate, federal, or nonprofit sponsor.
  • Have not received a HACU Conference Sponsorship for the Annual Conference or Capitol Forum in previous years.
