On December 12, 2025, shortly before 6:00 a.m., West District General Patrol officers responded to an apartment building in the 1-99 block of Mayfair Place for the report of a fight and a fire in a suite.
Responding officers learned that one of the residents had pulled a fire alarm after setting a mattress on fire within her suite. Residents of the building were required to temporarily evacuate as a result of the fire.
