Congresswoman Gwen Moore Supports War Powers Resolution to Help End Republicans' Reckless, Costly Iran War

"The Trump administration, with support from congressional Republicans, has plunged America into a deadly, costly war with Iran. Now, gas prices have gone up, and other household costs, like groceries, continue to increase. Yet, as millions struggle, Trump admits he doesn't think about Americans financial situation.

This war is not only making life more expensive and failing to meet any clear objectives, but it's illegal. Congress has not granted any authorization for this war, despite Trump's claims that hostilities have somehow been terminated as part of his games to try and evade Congressional oversight and accountability. I am supporting this resolution to help end this war and remain disappointed that Republicans in both the Senate and House continue to oppose these resolutions. I am calling on my Republican colleagues to finally grow a backbone and join me in checking this President."
