ParkMobile Now Available at 800+ Parking Meters in Downtown Norfolk

No coins needed with new, contactless payment and service options.

NORFOLK, Va. - The City of Norfolk is making parking easier and more convenient with the launch of ParkMobile, a leading smart parking and mobility app. Beginning Monday, Nov. 17, residents and visitors will be able to pay for parking at more than 800 on-street metered spaces using the ParkMobile app.

This new, contactless payment option gives drivers more flexibility and convenience when using on-street meters. With ParkMobile, users can start, extend or end parking sessions right from their smartphones - no need for coins, cash or touch payment machines.

How to use ParkMobile:

· Look for the ParkMobile sticker or sign at parking location.

· Enter the Zone number displayed on the sign.

· Select the amount of time and confirm payment.

· Pay by app, text, phone or online at ParkMobile.io.

· Receive alerts when session is about to expire and extend time remotely if needed.

The ParkMobile app is not required to use these convenient new features. Customers can pay for parking via text, phone call or on the ParkMobile website. Meters will continue to accept traditional payment methods, such as coins and cards, ensuring customers can choose the option that works best for them.

While metered parking is ideal for quick stops and short visits, the City of Norfolk offers two hours of free parking at all City-owned garages, making it easy and affordable for visitors to stay longer and explore local businesses, entertainment and cultural destinations.

ParkMobile, a part of the EasyPark Group, is North America's leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions. Its launch in Norfolk reflects the City's ongoing commitment to improving customer service, accessibility and convenience through innovative technology.
