Kansas City area maintenance work for March 16-20

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from March 16-20. All work is weather permitting.

JACKSON COUTNY

Interstate 70 westbound and 5th St. ramps to Interstate 35 southbound: ramps closed on Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for brush cutting.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Route DD between Missouri Highway 23 and Missouri Highway 13: flagging operations on Tuesday, March 17 and Thursday 19, March 19, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for brush cutting.

U.S. Highway 50 eastbound and westbound between MO-23 and Route D: intermittent lane closures scheduled on Monday, March 16, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for brush cutting.

PETTIS COUNTY

Route F between U.S. Highway 65 and 0.2 miles west of US-65.: full closure on Tuesday, March 17, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for culvert replacement work.

PLATTE COUNTY

Route M to south of Nichols Rd.: full closure from Monday, March 16 until Friday, March 27 for pavement repair. Details: Route M CLOSED in Platte County for pavement repairs, March 16 - 27 | Missouri Department of Transportation

MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
