The Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) recently released proposed revisions to selected Master of Public Health (MPH) criteria, focusing on areas beyond foundational knowledge and competencies. These proposed updates reflect CEPH's ongoing efforts to ensure that accreditation standards remain responsive to the evolving needs of the public health workforce and the academic programs that prepare them. CEPH notes that all comments must be submitted through the designated online form and include references to specific criterion line numbers, as the interpretation guide serves as a companion to the criteria. Comments submitted via email or other methods will not be accepted.

CEPH will review all submitted comments in the second half of 2026 and may make revisions or conduct additional targeted comment periods as needed. A comprehensive draft of the revised criteria will be released for further public comment as soon as feasible.
