Chinese Embassy in South Sudan Hosts Chinese Culture Festival and Film Screening Event

On November 4, the Chinese Embassy in South Sudan hosted the Chinese Cultural Festival and film screening event of Nezha: Birth of the Demon Child. Amb. Ma Qiang attended the event and delivered a speech. More than 80 South Sudanese teenagers, including students from the Chinese Friendship Secondary School participated in the event.

On behalf of the Embassy, Amb. Ma extended a warm welcome to the children, noting that the bridge of culture closely binds the Chinese and South Sudanese peoples even though they are thousands of miles apart. He expressed his hope that through this event, the South Sudanese children can closely experience the charm of Chinese culture, deepen their understanding of China, plant the seeds of China-South Sudan friendship in their hearts, and become young envoys of friendship between the two countries.

Prior to the film screening, staff members from the Embassy wielded brushes to demonstrate the art of calligraphy. The children eagerly experienced the charm of ink and brush, and wrote Chinese characters such as China, Peace, Security, and Blessing. The event was filled with a warm and joyful atmosphere, accompanied by continuous laughter and cheer.
