Wakefield Council will host a civic reception for Wakefield Trinity as they celebrate their first ever Super League Grand Final win with a parade on Sunday 4 October.
A special fan celebration event will also take place at WX (Wakefield Exchange) the same day.
Trinity beat Warrington Wolves 10 - 23 at Old Trafford on Saturday evening (3 October).
Cllr Karl Johnson, Leader of Wakefield Council, said: "Congratulations to Wakefield Trinity. To win the Grand Final, only the sixth team ever to do so, is an incredible achievement.
"A huge thank you must go to Matt Ellis and the whole Ellis family for the investment and commitment they have given to the club since they took over in 2023. The progress they have made in three years is nothing short of incredible. I have no doubt this will be the start of even greater things. A great deal of credit also must go to Daryl Powell who has led the club's climb from the Championship to Grand Final winners.
"A tremendous amount of effort has gone into your fantastic season, and it is only right that the Council helps you to celebrate this. You have done our city proud.
"I'd encourage everyone to come along and give the boys the welcome home they deserve. Please come and line the streets in the whole route on Sunday afternoon. We can't wait to celebrate."

"History has been made, and Wakefield couldn't be prouder. Huge credit goes to the players and coaching staff, as well as the ownership for their investment, ambition and commitment to rebuilding the team and taking the club forward.
"Credit also to everyone working behind the scenes and, of course, the incredible supporters who have backed the team every step of the way.
"Now it's time to celebrate."
