Southern Cross University is inviting nominations for the 2026 Alumni Impact Awards, celebrating the exceptional achievements of graduates who are making a meaningful difference in their communities, industries and across the globe.
The Alumni Impact Awards shine a spotlight on alumni who are driving change and creating lasting impact in their individual fields.
Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Tyrone Carlin encourages the community to nominate graduates whose stories deserve to be recognised.
"Last year, we celebrated a remarkable group of alumni whose contributions range from leadership in healthcare and tackling homelessness to global diplomacy, forest conservation, and inspiring the next generation in STEM education," Professor Carlin said.
"This is an incredible opportunity to celebrate those who embody the purpose and values of our university."
The impact of the awards is perhaps best reflected by those who have received them. Olympic silver medallist and three-time world champion swimmer Moesha Johnson, who was named Young Alumnus of the Year in 2025, said the recognition reinforced the lifelong connection alumni share with Southern Cross University.
"For me, the first reaction to receiving this award is, wow, what a community I'm part of. You might only be at university for three years, but you're part of that community for life."
Award categories for 2026 include:
