Our work focuses on improving and modernizing existing data centers in communities that benefit from reliable, local systems to keep essential services running. Our facilities are small, right-sized, and built to serve local needs - not large hyperscale campuses. In Lexington, our goal is to update a long-standing data center so it continues providing dependable service and long-term value to the community.

Over recent weeks, DartPoints has listened closely to community feedback and is committed to providing clear information, answering questions, and maintaining an open dialogue with residents and local leaders throughout the planning process.

The campus has operated as a data center since the 1990s and most recently supported IBM through late 2025. DartPoints is updating an established site that includes the same power setup and utility infrastructure that supported IBM's operations for decades. No new transmission lines are required for this redevelopment. The update includes improvements designed to reduce noise, limit water use, and fit appropriately within the surrounding area. Planned cooling systems use closed-loop technology that minimizes water consumption, and equipment placement will follow standard practices used to keep noise low and protect the environment in similar long-standing commercial settings.

DartPoints expects the modernization effort to create opportunities for Kentucky contractors, suppliers, and service providers and intends to work with local and regional vendors whenever practical during construction. The company is also evaluating ways to enhance site landscaping, partner with utility providers on energy-efficiency initiatives, and explore preferred access programs for Lexington businesses. Following reconfiguration, the campus is expected to generate approximately $2 million in annual property tax payments based on current estimates, creating a long-term source of local tax revenue that supports essential community services, including Fayette County Public Schools.

As planning continues, DartPoints remains committed to working collaboratively with residents, local officials, utility partners, and community stakeholders to ensure the redevelopment remains appropriately scaled, environmentally responsible, and reflective of the company's long-standing approach to responsible investment, transparency, and community partnership.
