Gorman presents at disability conference

Julia P. Gorman, associate director of the Educational Access Center and doctoral candidate in the College of Education and Public Service, presented at the 2026 Association on Higher Education and Disability Conference in Providence, Rhode Island. Gorman's presentation, "Exploring the Experiences of Disabled College Students in a Northwest Rural State," included findings from a qualitative research study her team conducted in the spring of 2025. The purpose of the study was to better understand the experiences of disabled college students at public institutions of higher education within Idaho to better inform policies, programs and practices. Findings from this study have been shared with colleagues within the state and are already being used to inform practices at Boise State. Members of the research team include College of Education faculty Jeremy W. Ford and Katie Conley, fellow doctoral candidate Erin Anderson, and Peighton Pratt from the University of Idaho.
