The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Office of Development and Alumni Relations has been recognized as a "High Performer" by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), placing UTMB among the top 25 percent of hospital development offices nationwide for fundraising revenue and productivity.
The AHP High Performer designation honors health care organizations that demonstrate exceptional effectiveness, efficiency, and impact in advancing their missions through philanthropy. The university's recognition reflects both the generosity of its donors and the sustained commitment of its development professionals to maximizing the impact of every philanthropic dollar.
This national distinction underscores the university's ability to translate philanthropic support into meaningful outcomes-advancing patient care, accelerating research discoveries, strengthening education and workforce development, and fueling innovation that benefits communities across Texas and beyond.
"We are honored to receive this recognition from AHP, as this distinction reflects the remarkable dedication of our Development and Alumni Relations team and the generous support of our UTMB community," said Dr. Jochen Reiser, president of UTMB and CEO of the UTMB Health System. "Philanthropy allows us to drive bold initiatives across all four pillars of our mission, delivering exceptional patient care, advancing groundbreaking research, strengthening the education of future health professionals, and powering innovation. This honor reaffirms the meaningful impact we can achieve when we work together to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve."
UTMB extends its gratitude to its donors, alumni, partners, and community members whose generosity makes this achievement possible. Their continued support ensures UTMB can deliver world-class care today while building a healthier future for generations to come.
