City to celebrate 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence at Oso Fit 5K Fun Run and Community Health Fair Feb. 28

Lace up your running shoes and get ready to take a trek along the Oso Creek Trail for a great cause of your choice during the patriotic-themed Oso Fit 5K Fun Run and Community Health Fair on Saturday, February 28 from 7:30 to 11 am.

The City is celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence at this year's event. The 5K Fun Run begins at 8:30 am and will take place on the beautiful Oso Creek Trail. The race will start and end at the Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way. The Kid's Run is a fun course for kids of all abilities. The Kid's Run starts at 10 am and features quarter- and half-mile races.

One hundred percent of your pre-registration fee will go to a nonprofit of your choice. Early registration ends at 7 pm on Friday, February 14. Register before then to receive an event T-shirt and discounted fees. After that, the cost to participate increases.

There will also be a free Community Health Fair with health and wellness organizations offering free screenings, giveaways and handouts.
