The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is developing a High Mileage Vehicle Action Plan to help professional drivers switch to electric vehicles (EVs) for their work. As taxi and Lyft/Uber drivers can drive as much as four times the number of miles that a typical passenger vehicle drives in a year, helping these drivers switch to EVs would have a big impact on reducing local air pollution and helping the City meet its sustainability goals.

PBOT is currently researching for this project and needs to hear from as many professional drivers as possible. To gather input, the bureau has created a short, 5-10 minute-long survey. The purpose of this survey is to better understand how professional drivers in Portland are thinking about EVs and what services would make it easier for them to use an EV for work. Research and conversations with drivers suggest that access to EV chargers is still a top concern among Portland's professional drivers, but there are likely other challenges that drivers are aware of that PBOT should know. PBOT will use the information from this survey to address these barriers, making it easier for professional drivers to earn a living while driving an electric vehicle.

Will you help Portland meet its climate goals while supporting taxi, Lyft/Uber, and other professional drivers? If yes, here is the link to the professional driver's survey to inform PBOT's High Mileage Vehicle Action Plan.

The survey should take about 5-10 minutes to complete.
