City of Portland publishes energy performance metrics for individual buildings and a summary report each year. This year's report includes a comparative analysis of building energy use from the 2023 and 2024 reporting years.

You can also access the 2024 energy performance data for Portland's large commercial buildings via spreadsheet or explore it with this online interactive map. The map interface allows you to directly compare buildings according to key characteristics.

See which buildings topped the list

The Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) also publishes a ranked list of verified top performing buildings. These buildings have also taken the voluntary step of getting energy performance metrics verified or certified by a licensed professional.

Several buildings exhibited exemplary energy efficiency during 2024 and reported their ENERGY STARĀ® score to the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS). These five buildings topped the list:
