Watch the 2025 Fireshed Coalition: Fire Safety Field Tour

The City of Santa Fe is pleased to announce the release of the 2025 Fireshed Coalition: Fire Safety Field Tour video, now available on the City of Santa Fe YouTube Channel.

Produced by the Greater Santa Fe Fireshed Coalition, this video highlights the collaborative efforts underway to reduce wildfire risk and protect our forests, watersheds, and communities. The field tour brought together residents and experts from across the region to learn about fire mitigation strategies and the ongoing work to build a more resilient landscape.

Viewers will hear from speakers discussing past and current projects-including fire lines, winter burnings, and ecological restoration-as well as future plans for interagency cooperation. Topics include the history of fire in our region, its role in forest health, and the impact of wildfires on our waterways and ecosystems.

The Greater Santa Fe Fireshed Coalition unites federal, state, tribal, and local agencies; non-governmental and community organizations; fire professionals; universities; and conservation districts. Together, they work across property boundaries to restore and manage the forests and watersheds of the Santa Fe Fireshed.
