Experience Ratatouille like never before with an immersive fine dining and movie event at the Young Family Athletic Center on November 7 at 7:00 p.m. Norman Parks and Recreation's "From Screen to Plate" is the first event of its kind in Norman, inviting guests to enjoy a multi-sensory celebration of food and film.
Guests will savor a chef's tasting prepared by Scratch Kitchen and Cocktails, featuring an appetizer course, soup plus cheese courses, steak, dessert, and-of course-Ratatouille. Each course is inspired by key moments in the film and paired with wine, plus a champagne toast. Watch this beloved movie come to life through taste in an unforgettable, cinematic dining experience.
"Norman Parks & Recreation's 'From Screen to Plate' is a first here in Norman," said Jeff Moody, Program Coordinator for Parks and Recreation. "Ratatouille is such a fun, heartwarming movie that brings French cuisine to a playful, lighthearted story! We are so excited for this and we are looking forward to hosting several more moving forward.
The idea for From Screen to Plate came from Mitchell Richardson, City of Norman Recreation Manager, who was inspired by similar "Fork n' Film" experiences in cities like Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and New York. Norman's version adds a local, family-friendly twist.
The state-of-the-art Young Family Athletic Center will be transformed into a whimsical Ratatouille-themed venue featuring photo opportunities, delicious food, dessert, and wine. Seating will be four guests per table, with an exclusive VIP option available. VIP guests will receive premier seating, a private table for two, and a souvenir wine glass to take home.
Tickets are $100 per person, for both adults and children, with no substitutions. Seating is limited to 100 guests, and registration will close at 11:59 p.m. on November 4.
