Portland City Council: Upcoming Budget Sessions

Portland City Council will hold a series of work sessions and hearings this spring as it begins deliberations on the Fiscal Year 2026-27 budget. The schedule outlines more than a dozen meetings stretching from early April through mid-June.
Mayor Wilson will release his proposed FY 2026-27 budget on Monday, April 20. On April 21, Portland City Council will convene as the City Budget Committee to hold its legally required hearing on the Mayor's Proposed Budget, with a separate Prosper Portland budget hearing later that afternoon.
A series of issue-area work sessions will follow between April 29 and May 14, covering topics including housing, permitting, public safety, economic development, Portland Solutions, utilities, and public works.
The committee will convene three full-day hearings May 18-20 to advance the FY 2026-27 Approved Budget.
In June, Council will turn toward adoption. The TSCC hearing will take place June 9, ahead of first and second readings of the Adopted Budget on June 10 and June 17.
