Fenwick Island, South Bethany, Wyoming, and Camden are recognized for excellence DOVER, Del. - The Camden, Fenwick Island, South Bethany, and Wyoming Police Departments have all earned state accreditation through the Delaware Police Accreditation Commission (DPAC). The DPAC commission is committed to advancing law enforcement professionalism through the establishment of professional standards and the administration of formal mechanisms that enable Delaware Police agencies to be systematically measured, evaluated, and updated. Earning state accreditation requires a commitment to excellence and determination. Each department embraced the challenge and successfully navigated the process to meet 105 professional standards. A team of DPAC assessors ensured all accreditation standards were met through a comprehensive on-site inspection that reviewed each agency's policies and procedures and interviewed the department's members. Accreditation improves officer and public safety, addresses high-risk management issues, promotes operational efficiency through policy development, enhances agency reputation, attracts the best-qualified candidates for employment, and increases public trust and confidence. House Bill 206 requires all law enforcement agencies to be accredited by 2028.
