City launches North Port Engage hub to strengthen transparency

The City is proud to announce the official launch of North Port Engage, a new online platform designed to provide residents with a centralized, transparent and interactive space to stay informed and engaged with City projects, initiatives and decision-making.

North Port Engage was created in direct response to resident feedback gathered through surveys, town halls, webinars and the City's annual community engagement plan. Residents consistently asked for clearer communication, easier access to project updates and a more transparent way to track how their input influences City decisions.

The result is a one-stop destination where residents can explore current initiatives, review updates and actively participate in shaping North Port's future. It can be viewed at NorthPortFL.gov/EngageHub.

"This platform was built because our residents asked for it," said City Manager Jerome Fletcher. "Through community feedback, we heard a clear desire for greater transparency and a centralized space where people can follow projects from idea to completion. North Port Engage reflects our commitment to accountability, accessibility and meaningful two-way dialogue."

A Centralized Space for Engagement

The North Port Engage hub brings together a wide range of project and initiative pages in one accessible location, including:

  • Closing the Loop Reports - Transparent summaries following Town Halls and other community engagement initiatives where questions and answers, project details and updates are shared so those who may not have been able to attend can still receive the information that was provided.
  • Quarterly Topic Pages - Themed engagement campaigns aligned with the City's Strategic Plan where content such as webinars, podcasts, blogs and Town Hall recordings can be found.
  • Infrastructure Project Pages - construction updates on the new Emergency Operations Center, Fire Station 81, Utilities Administration Building the widening of Price Boulevard and more.
  • Green Spaces, Parks and Wildlife Initiatives - Information about the Greenest Citizen Award and other projects related to the outdoors and environment.
  • Citizen Budget Input Page - Opportunities for residents to share feedback on City budget priorities as part of the Fiscal Year 2026-27 budget process.

Each page provides background information, project timelines, key milestones, frequently asked questions and opportunities for community input where applicable.

A Growing Resource

North Port Engage will continue to evolve as new projects, reports and engagement opportunities are added throughout the year.

Residents are encouraged to visit regularly, subscribe for updates and participate in discussions.
