GREENSBORO, NC (April 9, 2026) - A 23-year-old man was charged today with first-degree murder in connection with a 2024 homicide case.
The Greensboro Police Department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) arrested Jaron Nashir Gladden without incident on a warrant. Gladden was charged in the death of Cameron Leon Lee, 24, who was killed Oct. 24, 2024.
Gladden remains in the Guilford County Jail without bond. He has a scheduled court date Friday, according to online booking records.

The victim's next-of-kin have been notified of the arrest in this case.

Homicide Investigation - Hewitt Street
GREENSBORO, NC (Oct. 24, 2024) - On this date, at approximately 2:33 p.m., Greensboro Police officers responded to 3633-A Hewitt St. for a call about an unknown problem / person down. Officers located Cameron Lee, 24, unresponsive, after an apparent shooting. Life-saving efforts were initiated; however, Lee succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Detectives and Forensic Investigators responded to investigate/process the scene.
This incident is being investigated as a homicide. Next of kin have been notified.
Investigators believe this was an isolated incident; There are no suspects at large. Additional details about this ongoing investigation are not available at this time.
This is the city's 36th homicide of 2024.
