The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received Monday, at the ministry's headquarters, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konakovic, who is paying an official visit to Algeria .
In this respect, the Minister of State held a private one-on-one meeting with his Bosnian counterpart, which was followed by an expanded working session including the delegations of both countries .
the ministerial talks provided an opportunity to "review the current state of Algerian-Bosnian bilateral relations and explore avenues for strengthening them, building on the complementary strengths both countries offer across economic sectors including energy, mining, industry, pharmaceuticals and agriculture, as well as people-centred fields such as higher education, tourism and media.
The two sides agreed to "strengthen the institutional framework of bilateral relations through the establishment of a joint governmental committee and a joint business council .
On the multilateral front, the two ministers exchanged views on international and regional issues of common interest, foremost among them the escalation in the Middle East and developments in the war in Ukraine, alongside the latest developments in their respective regional spaces, the Balkans and the Sahelo-Saharan region .
The talks concluded with the signing of a bilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of diplomatic training.
