CASE: Sandra Alvina Martinez (Case #24FE017045)
PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Luigi Nardoni, Major Crimes Unit
Sandra Alvina Martinez was convicted by a jury of three counts of robbery with a use of firearm allegation found true. Allegations that Martinez has two prior strike convictions for carjacking were also found true.
Between September 25 and October 28, 2024, Martinez robbed three victims. The first robbery occurred at a 7-eleven on Watt Avenue. Martinez was found the next day in the same vehicle with the same mask, t-shirt, and gloves used in the robbery. Martinez was also on GPS ankle monitoring, which placed him at the 7-eleven around the time of the robbery. The second robbery occurred at a donut shop on Del Paso Boulevard, where he told the victim he had a gun and demanded money. Martinez returned to the same shop and robbed the third victim while pointing a firearm at the victim.
Martinez faces a maximum sentence of 85 years to life in prison. Sentencing is set for October 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM in Department 13B before the Honorable Helena Gweon.
