River Campus Announces 2026-27 Season Ticket Packages Featuring Dance, Music and Theatre

Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus has announced its 2026-27 season ticket packages, giving audiences the opportunity to experience another year of performances, exhibitions and productions featuring students, faculty, guest artists and community partners.

Season ticket packages are now available and provide patrons the opportunity to reserve seats before individual event tickets go on sale Aug. 24. The 2026-27 season includes performances and events from across the River Campus, including theatre and dance productions, music performances, and special events.

"We are thrilled to announce our 20th River Campus season," said Rhonda Weller-Stilson, dean of the Holland College of Arts and Media. "There's truly something for everyone. Our students, faculty and staff can't wait to share marvelous performances and art exhibitions with audiences and patrons. We hope new patrons will visit our complimentary events in the museum and in music. There's so much to see."

EBO MD & Sam's Fine Jewelry Symphony Package

  • Sept. 25: Pops in the Park is an evening of show tunes, popular music, and patriotic classics under the stars.
  • Oct. 23: The Romantics is the opening event from the Southeast Missouri State University Symphony Orchestra, with special guest pianist Alexandra Joan.
  • Dec. 1: The Messiah from George Frideric Handel performed by the Southeast Missouri State University choir is a perfect way to start the holiday season, with special guest, award-winning oboist Thomas Gallant.
  • Mar. 9: Eroica, an evening of music inspired by nature from the SEMO Symphony Orchestra, featuring the winners of the SEMO Concerto and Aria competition.
  • Apr. 30-May 1: The Lion King, in Concert is the SEMO Symphony Orchestra's closing season event, including Hans Zimmer's Academy Award-winning score.

Commerce Bank & the City of Cape Girardeau Theatre & Dance Package

  • Oct. 1-4: Footloose, the explosive 1980s rock 'n' roll musical is coming to the River Campus stage.
  • Oct. 29-Nov. 1: The Play That Goes Wrong, Broadway's funniest smash hit is bringing a night of glorious misfortunes to the Dobbins Conservatory.
  • Nov. 19-22: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee-Can you spell H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S? Grab your dictionary and join the fun at the quirkiest competition in town.
  • Feb. 11-13: American Dance Goes to Hollywood brings an exciting variety of genres to life through original works by both professional and student choreographers, including a special piece from Hamilton cast member, Seth Stewart.
  • Mar. 10-13: Migration Season, winner of the Lanford Wilson New American Play Festival, sees its world debut at the River Campus.
  • Apr. 15-18: Disney's Frozen, the Broadway phenomenon is bringing the breathtaking winter wonderland to the SEMO stage.

Saint Francis Healthcare System Special Events Package

  • Dec. 11-12: Big Band Holiday Jukebox, the beloved holiday collaboration returns, performed by the SEMO Jazz Studio and theatre and dance performers.
  • Feb. 19: Clark Terry Jazz Concert, bold and resonant, St. Louis Symphony Principal Trombonist Jonathan Randazzo and SEMO Professor of Trombone Felipe Brito join forces for an electrifying recital.
  • May 7: Presidents Showcase, a celebration of student creativity and talent featuring an exciting variety of performances and work.

The Holland College Master Package

  • Includes the Symphony, Theatre & Dance, and Special Events packages above, plus:
  • Apr. 27: Wind Symphony and Choirs: Vincent's Sky, a powerful season finale celebrating music, art and the human spirit.

River Campus All Access Package

  • Receive tickets to all events listed above and all "add-on" events, excluding Nutcracker and Anthony Gomes: Praise the Loud World Tour.

In addition to ticketed performances, the River Campus hosts a variety of free concerts, exhibitions and student showcases throughout the year.
