Families can start planning now for a winter break that works for everyone. The City of North Port Parks & Recreation Department's Winter Camp gives students a supervised place to stay active, spend time with friends and enjoy engaging activities while school is out. For parents and caregivers, camp provides a dependable care option during a busy time of year. Registration opens Monday, Sept. 28.
Winter Camp will be held at the Morgan Family Community Center, 6207 W. Price Blvd., and is open to students in grades K-8. Families may register for one or both sessions:
Daily camp hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Optional extended care is available for an additional fee. Session One costs $60, and Session Two costs $100.
Registration is available in person only at the Morgan Family Community Center, 6207 W. Price Blvd., or the George Mullen Activity Center, 1602 Kramer Way. To make registration quicker and easier, families can download and complete the required forms before visiting, then bring them to either location.
