San Rafael Hill Prescribed Pile Burn Scheduled

We're gearing up for safe, carefully planned spring prescribed burns on San Rafael Hill. The San Rafael Fire Department will conduct these controlled burns to make our open spaces and the neighborhoods around them more resilient to wildfire. Prescribed fire is one of the most effective and responsibly managed tools we have to reduce hazardous vegetation, support healthy ecosystems, and better protect our community.

This Measure C-funded wildfire mitigation project is tentatively scheduled for spring 2026. We will keep our website updated with new information as it comes up.
